The first work explores the topic of staying in one town for too long, of feeling desperate to leave but not being able to, the painting speaks about feeling claustrophobic and locked up in the neighbourhood.
The second work explores the topic of traumatic childhood. It contains allusions to popular movies and books on the same subject (IT, Shining, Pink Floyd's Wall, Lord of the Flies, etc) and phrases that parents are known to say to their kids (Stop crying, you won't be happy until you break it, will you, I'm not going to tell you again, Because I said so, etc).
